OG Kush

Lineage
Although there are quite a few different tales associated with the actual lineage of this popular kush strain, perhaps the most two widely accepted lineages trace the OG Kush strain back to:
1. The San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, whereby a Los Angeles Kush was said to have been crossed with a San Fernando Valley (SFV) strain.
2. Lake Tahoe, CA, originating from a clone (i.e. cutting) of a “’91 Chemdog” plant (aka Chemdawg or Chem) that resulted in an ‘S1′ OG Kush strain (S1 = 1st generation offspring of a self-pollinated hermaphrodite).

Medicinal Effects
OG Kush offers a reviving yet relaxing sensation that comes on fast and strong. Similar to a shot of espresso, OG Kush is known to speed up the heart rate while keeping patients awake, calm and medicated.  OG Kush is known to provide healing benefits for insomnia, anxiety, stress and loss of appetite.

Taste & Smell
OG Kush typically has a sour lemon odor and taste with some subtle hints of spicy undertones along with a definite kush aftertaste.

Appearance
OG Kush is normally lime green in color with copious amounts of white, shiny resin.
Cultivating
OG Kush grows rapidly, yielding medium (to long) sized branches that stretch tremendously for a full fill-out during flowering. The OG Kush nugs tend to be tighter and smaller nugs once cured.  OG Kush normally flowers in 57-60 days and (outdoor) harvest is usually around mid-September.
